Victoria Beckham is David Beckham's wife

This is the 100th WAG entry since I started this site two months ago, and what better way to celebrate than adding the biggest WAG of them all?

Victoria Beckham has been keeping the British tabloids in business for the last fifteen years as David Beckham’s hot footballer wife.

It all started when the Spice Girls exploded in 1994. It’s easy to forget how massively huge (and annoying) this particular girl group was, and it’s absolutely shocking to me that they managed to sell more than fifty-five million records.

That’s fifty-five million people swindled out of $15. Amazingly, there was not an international incident.

You would think that being a member of a super group (it pains me to say it, but it’s true) like the Spice Girls would be the height of anyone’s career. Yet Posh Spice, as the media dubbed her, hadn’t even started.

Her relationship with David Beckham began in 1997, when they met at a charity football (read: soccer) match. They were married two years later at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland.

Victoria Beckham’s high profile as top WAG has sometimes put her life in danger.

In 2000, the Scotland Yard uncovered a plan to kidnap her and one of her sons. Later that year, she received a death threat before appearing at the Brit Awards. She ran off the rehearsal stage when she saw a red laser appear on her chest.

Not to make light of the situation (I may not like her music, but don’t wish harm on anyone), but what type of hack assassin uses a laser for aiming?

Foiled kidnapping and assassination plots aside, it can’t be too bad to be Victoria Beckham. Her money from the Spice Girls, combined with David Beckham’s crazy successful soccer career, leaves them with a fortune in excess of 112 million pounds (over $225 million).

Their relationship seems strong, as not even David Beckham’s alleged affair with Rebecca Loos could break them apart.

David and Victoria Beckham now live in Los Angeles, as Beckham plays in the MLS for the LA Galaxy.
