Shaunie O’Neal is Shaquille O’Neal’s hot basketball wife.

Shaunie married Shaq on December 26, 2002, one year after Larry David tripped Shaq on one of the best Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes ever.

Shaq and his wife have six kids (each had one from a previous relationship). And as my wife was quick to point out after an episode of Cribs, Shaunie has a big ass diamond wedding ring (17 carats). What I was quick to point out after the episode was how Shaq probably knew he’d found the perfect woman when she agreed to sleep in this bed.

Publicly, Shaq and Shaunie O’Neal’s marriage seemed to be going along swimmingly until September of 2007, when Shaq filed for divorce, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.“

More details came to light this summer, when Shaq shot a barb at Kobe while rapping at a New York night club. He busted out all the tricks in his little rap book when he said, “I’m a horse, Kobe ratted me out, that’s why I’m getting divorced.“

Because the scholars of the world now spend their time putting footnotes on celebrity quotes, it was learned that Shaq was probably referencing a statement Kobe Bryant made during his 2003 rape case. “Should have done what Shaq does ... Shaq would pay his women not to say anything.“

Shaq and Shaunie seem to have worked out their differences, as Shaunie told the Associated Press this week that they are getting back together.

Shaunie said, “Neither one of us could probably answer why we were getting [a divorce] in the first place,“ which is interesting, seeing as Shaq seemed pretty sure about the whole thing a couple months ago at that night club.
