Cheryl Tweedy is Ashley Cole’s hot footballer wife.
She rose to fame as a winner of the British reality show Popstars: The Rivals. The show was sort of a cross between American Idol and Making the Band, as the viewers voted on who they wanted to be in the band. Cheryl was the first girl chosen, and became the founding member of Girls Aloud.
The band experienced massive success. Girls Aloud had 18 consecutive Top 10 singles, three number ones, five platinum albums, over 4.2 million record sales in the UK alone.
Cheryl married Ashley Cole on July 15th, 2006, and received almost as much media attention during the World Cup that year as Victoria Beckham.
It’s rumored that Ashley cheated on his wife in December of 2007, and the couple started the separation process in January.
