Amanda Beard is Michael Phelps's girlfriend?

Following Michael Phelps’s 8 gold medal Olympic blitzkrieg, the media is scrambling to learn more about America’s golden boy.

While nobody has been able to produce hard evidence, the Telegraph has reported that Amanda Beard just might be Michael Phelps’s hot swimming wife.

Amanda Beard is herself an Olympic swimmer. She set the world record in the 200 meter breaststroke in 2003 and has attended four Olympic games, but these days she’s probably better known for taking off her clothes.

Amanda recently posed nude for PETA’s anti-fur campaign. She also took her clothes off for the July 2007 issue of Playboy, and has posed for FHM and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (2006).

I’m aware that Michael Phelps is the second swimmer I’ve put in the racing section in the last week. It isn’t ideal, and I’m starting to think that maybe these guys could use their own section afterall...I’ll do some research and we’ll see. At this point, all I know is there will be one more potential Michael Phelps girlfriend to pop up soon.
