Zack Greinke’s life is pretty good right now. Not only is he pitching lights out baseball for the Kansas City Royals (when was the last time you could say that about ANY Royals hurler?), but he’s also engaged to Emily Kuchar.
Emily is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, and according to her website, won Miss Daytona Beach in 2008. Have you ever BEEN to Daytona Beach? Miss Daytona Beach might as well be Miss World. That is, assuming Italy is well represented.
Emily also does some modeling work, and has a dream of appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Amanda Vanderpool is Ladislav Smid’s girlfriend. Amanda is a former Anaheim Ducks cheerleader, and met Ladislav when the Edmonton Oilers were playing in Anaheim.
Amanda is now a full-time model working in the Los Angeles area.

Earlier this month, fans with way better eyesight than mine spotted Evan Longoria in the crowd at a USF football game with a particularly attractive female. Her identity remained a mystery until the good people at
Sports by Brooks took the identity challenge.
Turns out, Evan Longoria’s date at that game bears a strong resemblance to Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader Jaime Hanna. On her Buccaneers profile page, it says that she’s a dental hygienist and graduate of Pensacola Jr. College.
It might be a stretch to say that Jaime Hanna is Evan Longoria’s girlfriend, but to hell with it.

Christy Oglevee is Chris Cooley’s wife.
Christy was a Washington Redskins cheerleader when she met Chris Cooley, a tight end for the club. They kept their romance secret for as long as they could, but of course these things never end well. Christy was eventually kicked off the cheerleading squad for fraternizing with a player. Interestingly, she wasn’t the only cheerleader that has been kicked off the squad on account of Chris Cooley.
As you might guess, the remaining cheerleaders weren’t too happy with Chris Cooley, and they demonstrated their unhappiness by writing up a special dance that ended with turning their backs on him at a home game.
Christy and Chris Cooley were engaged in November of 2007, and they’re now married. Most of the cheerleaders still hate him, though.

Lisa Guerrero is Scott Erickson’s wife.
Guerrero married Scott Erickson on February 3, 2004.
Lisa began her career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams. She later moved on to television, starring in Aaron Spelling’s Sunset Beach before becoming a sports anchor for KCBS in Los Angeles in 1997.
For a time, she was a co-host on The Best Damn Sports Show Period, and later had a disastrous run as a sideline reporter on Monday Night Football in 2003.
Lisa posed nude for Playboy in January 2006, and has appeared in both FHM and Maxim.

Kollette Klassen is Jake Plummer’s wife.
Kollette and Plummer met when they were both employed by the Denver Broncos — she as a cheerleader, and he as the quarterback.
After being traded to the Buccaneers before the start of the 2007 season, Jake Plummer never showed up to camp. He later informed the team that he had retired (that’s normally good information to have before making a trade), but he still hasn’t submitted his retirement papers.
Plummer married Kollette on August 26th, 2007, about a week before the start of the season.
Maybe he just wanted to take a year off and spend some time with his new wife…
