Tara was a marketing assistant for Home Depot when she met Tony Stewart in 2006.

As one version of the story goes, Tara was paid to be Tony’s escort to the 2006 American Country Music Award show. Tara was chosen for the date because she was a marketing assistant for Home Depot (Tony Stewart’s major racing sponsor).

The other version of the story (the one that Tony tells) is that he simply met Tara while visiting the Home Depot corporate office.

The one little tidbit that both stories seem to agree upon is that Tara was married when she first started seeing Tony, and that their relationship was a contributing factor to her subsequent divorce.

Tony and Tara broke up in June of 2007, but got back together again in early 2008. They aren’t seeing each other right now though, and Tony called her a bitch on national television, so who knows if they’re on again or off again at the moment.

Samantha Sarcinella

Samantha Sarcinella is Kyle Busch’s girlfriend.

She is a twenty-two year-old Purdue graduate and psychology major, meaning that she is probably a royal pain in Kyle’s ass.

Kyle and Samantha met in Indianapolis last year when Samantha was still an undergrad at Purdue (Purdue is in Indiana, for those of you who don’t know which state a school is in if it doesn’t have the state in the name).

She has been attending Kyle’s races since she graduated this spring, which may help explain why he’s seemingly winning every event he enters these days.

Kyle Busch is currently leading in the Sprint Cup Series, the Nationwide Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series.

Raquel del Rosario is a singer in the Spanish band El Sueno de Morfeo. She’s been writing songs since she first picked up a guitar at the age of 14, and she has earned songwriting credit for the majority of her band’s songs.

Raquel is dating Formula One champion Fernando Alonso.

Raquel and Fernando met at a radio station in 2005.

They were rumored to be married in 2006, but Alonso’s manager denied the rumors, blaming their creation & distribution on the Spanish press.

Raquel hasn’t been seen at Fernando’s races as often as she used to be, leading to speculation that the couple has decided to part ways.

However, both parties claim that they’re still together, and attribute their separation to their busy professional lives.

In 2007, Sports Illustrated gave a pretty interesting survey to NASCAR drivers. The questions range from the number of speeding tickets they’ve received, to whether or not they’d let their daughter date Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Of course, the only question we’re interested in here is which driver has the hottest wife or girlfriend? An overwhelming 29% of drivers voted for Athena Barber, who was Clint Bowyer’s girlfriend at the time.

Athena was also a Bassani Babe in 2005.

Athena and Clint Bowyer split up at the end of the 2007 NASCAR season, ending a 5 year relationship.

Ashley Judd is best known for her big screen roles in the 1990’s blockbusters Heat, A Time to Kill, Kiss the Girls and Double Jeopardy, but in recent years she may be known more for her role as Dario Franchitti’s wife than for any successes on the silver screen.

Ashley and Dario were engaged in 1999, and married in 2001.

Ashley is a fixture at her husband’s Indy and Nascar races, and in 2007 caused a bit of controversy when she bashed the driving skills of model turned Indy racer Milka Duno.

“She shouldn’t be out there. When a car is 10 miles (an hour) off the pace, it’s not appropriate to be racing. People’s lives are at stake.”

Maybe she should have a talk with her husband about speeding his pace up a bit.

Through the first nine races of his rookie Nascar season, Franchitti is 39th in the standings and 864 points off the lead.
