Miroslava Vavrinec is Roger Federer’swife.
Like Roger, Miroslava is from Switzerland (she emigrated from Slovakia as a toddler). She also knows her way around a tennis court, which is probably a plus when you’re dating a guy who’s earned over $39 million with a racket in his hand.
The two met at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where they both represented Switzerland on the tennis court. Federer finished fourth at the Olympics that year, though Miroslava did not make it beyond the first round in either her singles or doubles tournaments.
Miroslava retired from professional tennis in 2002 after a foot injury ended her playing career, but she’s a constant presence at Federer’s tournaments, and manages his career.
