A Brazilian model and MTV Brasil hostess, Daniela Cicarelli became a bonafide superstar in 2004 when it was announced that she was engaged to Brazilian football legend Ronaldo. To get an idea of how big of a star Ronaldo is in Brazil, being his fiancee allowed Daniela to charge ten times more for her modeling work than she had previously earned.
In 2006, paparazzi filmed Daniela having sex on the beach with then-boyfriend Renato Malzoni. Computer networks crashed all over the country as the good people of Brazil scrambled to see the video, and Cicarelli immediately found herself in the middle of a scandal.
She attempted to sue the paparazzo who filmed her, but lost the court battle.
It’s pretty hard to argue that a film is a violation of privacy when you’re in a public place…
